Hand-eye coordination is clearly not a struggle for Colin Breiter ’25.

The sophomore from Morganton, N.C., emerged as the season champion of the Western North Carolina Disc Golf Association High School League which finished up Sunday at Christ School.

Colin’s season points total of 100 was one better than Owen High School junior Wilson Davis. Both of the boys shot 2-under Sunday, with the match having to be decided on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff (won by Davis).

Colin was consistently the league's best player in a span of four events. He chose to compete in the Varsity division with 11th and 12th graders even though he was eligible for Junior Varsity.

Colin is probably best known in the Christ School community for being adept at drumming. Colin’s playing has been part of on-campus musical ensembles, whether with his band or backing up the Choir.

Six other Greenies competed in Sunday’s disc golf tournament – Gavin Gosnell ‘24 (sixth place), Leo Lagutin ‘24 (sixth), Henry Lytle ’23 (10th), Byron Park ‘24 (12th), Briggs Kroeger ‘24 (15th), and Noah Wood ‘25 (16th). Christ School disc golfers are coached by Ken Tyburski, who plays professionally outside of his duties with the Outdoor Program.
