Saturday’s meet had a funny name and quirky prizes. Christ School swimming won it all the same with 16 personal records.
The Greenies (80 points) outscored three other teams in the Duck, Duck, Goose at the Buncombe County Schools Aquatic Center.
Rubber ducks were given to heat winners and Christ School returned home with a lot of them.
Once the finals rolled around, brothers Tyler Thompson ’24 (200-yard freestyle, 2:10.54) and Spencer Thompson ’26 (100 freestyle, 55.75) were individual event winners and the Greenies had the fastest 200 freestyle relay (1:44.90), made up of Tyler, Spencer, Alex Jarrett ‘26, and Sky Liu ’26. The team capped off the meet by winning the 400 freestyle relay (3:58.52) with the combination of Spencer, Tyler, Leo Lagutin ’24, and Henry Wilhelm ‘25.
Christ School's last meet before Christmas Break is Wednesday's dual meet with Asheville Christian Academy in the UNC Asheville pool.
